And to all a good night

jord | 22/12/060 Comments

Sorry about the lack of posting everyone, we’ve lost our broadband at home, and work has been manic. This is just a quick note to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

We’re heading down the coast for a couple of days, and will be up and down throughout the break. There may be some updates here, but I wouldn’t count on it.

So to everyone, have a wonderful Christmas.

Happy Birthday Jesus :)

sometimes friends=sad

sometimes there just arent any words to describe how you feel when a close (or sometimes not so close) friend lets you down or acts in a way contrary to the way you have come to epect from them.

lets face it - sometimes people just suck!!!

but luckily there are always others there to pick you up - and my advice is to hang on to these ones - these are the people who will not only help you - but they will be ones you can lean on when things seem too hard, who will ofer the words of love and encouragement or give you a swift kick if you deserve it.

BE THE FRIEND YOU WANT TO HAVE!!!

We break from our regular programming

This is a quick off topic post. You may or may not have heard of threadless, but it is an awesome online t-shirt shop where i buy most of my shirts from.

Anyhow, they have just accepted one of my submissions for voting to see if it is made. I’m asking you a massive favour to go and have a look at it, and if you like it, vote. If it gets accepepted I will get a bunch of prizes, plus it will be printed in a limited edition run, and that will rock.

Thanks everyone. We now return you to your regular program…

so real

yep - its real, we’re going. i find more often these days that im saying this to myself. its going to be strange in another place but ultimately awesome for the 2 of us. Selfishly i am looking foward to having no committments at all and being able to share more than just a quick dinner with jords before running off to stuff. Dont get me wrong - we are loving the time we are spending with others now so please dont start ignoring us - im just looking forward to a fresh start and no responsibilities!!

Fiona has given me inspiration that even the busiest of people can keep a regular blog so i am going to endevour at least one a week and we’ll see what else happens. We are hoping that his will abate everyones curiosity about us and what we are doing and at the same time - you can leave comments or email us with how you all are doing.

Why Christchurch?

We’ve had a lot of people ask us why? Probably a fair enough question considering the fact we have decided to relocate to another country, even if it is one that is quicker, cheaper and easier to get to than going interstate. People have asked if we are going for work (is the design industry over there good?), in order to get away, a chance for an adventure, or to have babies overseas (no). But at the end of the day we are doing it because we love it. Keep reading…

stuff

we have SO much stuff to pack - its like the pesky sibling you want to just ignore but realise you will have to do something with it eventually…

We are hoping our friends and some family might want some of said stuff or we may have to sell some of it - we’ve got lots so feel free to ask if we have what you would like - you can help fund our trip by taking it off our hands - see, now everyone is happy

Welcome

The Last Christmas

christmas06.jpg

The re-occuring phrase these last couple of months has been “the last”. Realising this will be our last New Years in Sydney for a while, or that it was the “last” week of swag has been brought up either by us or those close to us. And so it is that this Christmas is also being somewhat played out as “the last Christmas”. Keep reading…

4 months - say what???

chan | 1 Comment

yep - in 4 months time we will be enjoying our first week in NZ. hopefully finding a house, a car, jobs and furniture. We are both very excited although it seems so much more real now the clock is ticking.

We arent leaving the country to get away from anyone or anything - we just loved it so we’re off. and we dont want to have to regret the decision later.

The saddest part will be saying bye to our bunnies because they cant come - and also cant visit. sad to say bye to family too but they can come over.

We have a few people booking us to come and stay so get in quick!!!
