TradeMe
In Australia they have Ebay, in New Zealand they have Trade Me. Well, they actually have ebay, but no-one uses it, they all use Trade Me (which is basically the same thing).
Anyway, we have made our first couple of purchases (surprise, surprise) and it all seems to work pretty well. We have picked a hair dryer, and just tonight we won a phone to plug into the computer and use with skype.
And in other news, I’m a week into work and all is going well. The “days of work” to “days of work involving cake” ratio is currently very high, and the work isn’t too bad either. But being a working man again, I am quite looking forward to tomorrow afternoon, and the weekend.

Mmmm.
I’m looking forward to pants.
Peace out.
I’m realising that people who read these comments are probably slightly disturbed by my comments considering they don’t really make sense.
DON’T WORRY EVERYONE IN COMPUTER LAND. I AM WEARING PANTS. IT’s JUST A JOKE!!
Sheesh. Some people.
We’re always disturbed by you…
It’s one of your endearing qualities.
Prink
FUNK YEAH!!!
cakes? why cakes?
That was my question…
and apparently it was mostly “just because”.
I know a number of guys in Oz who have been using TradeMe over the last year or so, and they rave about it. As long as you can convince the seller to post outside of NZ. Very cheap for handtools.
Cheers,
