It’s Back!
The season proper doesn’t start until the 16th but its Charity Shield night, and that means the football (league, none of this soccer garbage) is back. How excitement.

I have a few new beginnings going on this next week.
Its the beginning of tourist season at Chez Gillman with Lisa and Lyn arriving on the weekend.
I officially start my new temporary PA Role on Monday.
Most importantly though is that the Charity Shield is on tomorrow night, and WE CAN WATCH IT!!!!
We had a picnic at work today. We all downed tools at about midday, piled into a couple of cars and headed to a park across the road from the water at Sumner (I hesitate to call it a beach). Fantastic suny day, yummy shared food (bring a plate). The only thing missing was a soccer ball.
Counting down to our first lot of visitors arriving this weekend, its all very exciting.
Also exciting… I got a new (well new to me) Camera, so stay tuned for lots of photos from the both of us.
… vacuumed carpets, washed floors, cleaned rooms, remade bed, grocery shopping, fruit and veg, garden weeded and watered, bbq dinner with friends, bed, singing in church, random shopping, lost a soccer game, watered the garden, dinner, bed.
The weather this last week or so has been quite bizarre. On return from Wellington last weekend it was cold and wet, and had been for a couple of days. It turned out it was so miserable they actually got the first falls of snow on the mountains (just over an hour away) for the season on Monday.
Then Wednesday and Thursday have been sweltering -- “head to the beach” -- sort of days. Its been dry and hot, and we can’t figure out whether or not to have the window open at night, becasue it also gets so cold… I guess its just the change of season. Before long we will be back in the cold winter months…
Chan is right, i’m up in Wellington at webstock. The slightly sad thing is that so far i have been here for about 29 hours so far, and have been in sessions for 17 hours or so of that… when you factor in sleep, I haven’t seen too much of Wellington, but it has still been fantastic.…Session’s about to start…
Heres to the Happiest Birthday to the Bestest Daddo i know…
So jordan is away at “webstock” in wellington and as we arent really valentines people (i maintain there should be love everyday - not just a day where people think they can make money out of others) i was very surprised (and quietly very excited) when i received delivered a gorgeous long stemmed red rose…
and even more so when a second gift arrived, that one is hard to describe but i took pictures of it and will put them up when jord gets home and takes them off the camera.
despite all the hoo haa about it - there is something nice about getting a valentines gift.
but i’ll be more excited to get my husband back.
