1st stop tomorrow night is lake tekapo and then a whole lot more of the south island.

im so blessed to have such an organised hubbie who looks after me so well and has organised most of our trip.

A Group Shot

It was great to have kel and dave over here for the easter break, and sad when they had to go home. But now we are counting down to two weeks of holidays.

Yay.

Honestly.…we had a lovely little solar powered light in our front garden, and we noticed the other night it was gone. who would bother?

easter treats

This year for easter treats at work i tried my hand at making truffles… dark chocolate with hazelnuts and baileys, and white chocolate with pistachio nuts and coconut. All choc dipped and quite impressive if i do say so myself…

Everyone at work seemed to like them and sometimes its just nice to see other people happy…

i know - its all a bit drab watching someone else count down to a very exciting time but i am honestly almost quite beside myself and cant wish friday night to come quickly enough.

in other news - i cant seem to shake the cold i got last week and i am astounded by how many high profile players were injured in the first round of the NRL Season. Im so glad we have Sky TV (except when i check the news website and find out the socre of the replay game we happen to be watching).

Work is incredibly busy and i am getting excited about my up coming holidays but not the training of the new staff member before i have to go - although - i reckon i could become an engineer now!!!

I See Red

Unlike the song by Split Enz (better sung by eddie vedder), tonight I was treated to a wonderful surprise for our 2 year wedding anniversary (yes it was a little early) when Jordan took me to dinner and the ballet. Red was an old vs new ballet encompassing traditional tutus and and ultra-modern bright red lycra. It was spectacular. Thanks to my wonderful hubsband for a magical evening. (He even had us home before kickoff for the first NRL game of the season).

Game On

The Jungle Book 2 the movie The NRL season starts tonight, which is very exciting. The tv guide for the weekend reveals a plethora rugby league watching options, from mid-afternoon till late at night. We will, however, miss the opening game tonight between the Roosters and the Rabbitohs. We will be busy, as I have a “surprise” planned. You’ll have to stay tuned to find out exactly what it is…

today is our first night home alone since last Sunday and despite being ill, im sad. it was so much fun having the girls staying with us and made me a little homesick.

it always feels kind of validating when people come over and love our city as much as us - well maybe not as much as to want to move here but… well you know what i mean.

anyhow - heres a pic of the girls taken with jords lovely new camera.
