what did you say???

Have you ever wondered what actually comes out of your mouth in any given day… do you ponder on the phrases that so often slip through your lips… is it strange to figure out that in the process of trying to stop saying one thing - you forget how the english language works at all.
Have you ever been asked NOT to say some certain things - to perhaps rethink some of the vocabulary that you have been carrying around for so long - to suspend all reasonable thought of what 3 words said in a row ‘actually’ means to some people.

we’re baaaaaaack.
flew into a hot 26 degree evening in Sydney and made it with all of our belongings (after a brief re-pack at the airport) after crying at the checkin counter when they wanted to charge us $200 for have too much stuff.

here begins the beginning of our new beginning…

Almost Done

Well we are all packed for probably the last time in NZ. It seems the last few weeks have meant constant packing and unpacking as we moved out of the unit and then around various motels on the North Island on our trip.
Today we move out of the place we have been housesitting for a week and into a hotel (our last stop before home).
We’re having a farewell tonight and the last couple of days will be tying up loose ends, catching up with people for the last time and doing various other things.
Its all getting quite close.

i have been thinking (whilst sitting in the aircon at New Brighton Library watching the waves) that as time counts down to us going - its feeling more and more surreal. i just cant believe that our time here is almost over.
its hard to leave somewhere that you dont hate. its hard to walk away from a job and a life where you are comfortable. its hard to walk away from people knowing that what you have may not last the time test… and that is sad.

i think its more hard trying to imagine what life will be like when we are back in Australia - seeing where exactly we fit in - or whether we will have to forge our own new pathways - to know whether we belong anywhere or nowhere.
only a few more days and i guess we get to find out.…

Back in ChurChur

We’re back, with a week to go.
The trip was great (minus a few car issues) and we got to see lots of the North Island. Our last week will be spent trying to catch up with friends, and finishing things we have started. We’re having a TimeZone Party farewell on Saturday and hope that people remember it is on.
Still no internet where we are living so we will be online sporadically.

See You All Soon.

Happy New Year
