surreal
i have been thinking (whilst sitting in the aircon at New Brighton Library watching the waves) that as time counts down to us going - its feeling more and more surreal. i just cant believe that our time here is almost over.
its hard to leave somewhere that you dont hate. its hard to walk away from a job and a life where you are comfortable. its hard to walk away from people knowing that what you have may not last the time test… and that is sad.
i think its more hard trying to imagine what life will be like when we are back in Australia - seeing where exactly we fit in - or whether we will have to forge our own new pathways - to know whether we belong anywhere or nowhere.
only a few more days and i guess we get to find out.…

I really miss you around the office eh. I now sit in your old office Jordan where Johnny sat … Johnny is back upstairs where you both first started so it would appear things have come a circle.

Our journey last year was hard and scary in some respects. Not knowing where we would be, what relationships we would find ourselves in. Yet it was such a blessing to walk (and continue to ) that road. God has proved faithful at every turn. We love the context which God has placed us in.
It must be terribly hard for you guys to leave what you love and have built over there. Just know, wherever you are walking and whatever decisions you make, you are walking in the hands of a faithful God.
Hope to see you on the other end.

From a purely selfish POV we are really happy that you are coming back to OZ. You are ALWAYS welcome to come up and stay, ANYTIME. Yay you are coming home, bummed that we didn’t get over there to see your life in NZ. Sorry.
