surprising
i love giving gifts - i think i love peoples reactions to gifts i give them more than the actual gift that i have purchased - or made - or found (that one is not quite as likely).
i have been training myself over the years to not give random gifts but rather wait till that person has a specific event - birthday - christmas - anniversary type thing. but sometimes its just too hard to wait.
Luckily Jords birthday is soon and even though there have been parcels arriving at home - i havent given them to him yet.
its pretty sad that he has to hide his own presents from me to stop me giving them to him early…
win at win
Friday night just gone was the first real life NRL game we have been to in.… well a really long time. and it was fantastic. we shared the experience with jack (who knew he even liked league) and a little bit of rain but no so much as to ruin the night.
the dragons won 24-12 with 12 unanswered points in the 2nd half.
Lethal Weapon trailer oh and i got to see both Morris boys play :)
New Clothes
There’s a few changes around the site which you may or may not have noticed. We’ve dropped the “chch” from the address, but that should happen automatically for you. And we’ve updated the header a little bit, and a few other little tweaks. Hope you like it :)
This is our new rug!
i think its awesome.
the photo is also awesome.
the husband that took the photo is awesome.

Relief
Today is the first day that has been of a comfortable temperature since we arrived back in Sydney. We expected it to be hotter over here than what we were used to, but it has been quite crazy.
Our house has reasonable air flow, but there has been no breeze. So there has not been a night without the external door open and the fan on to try and cool down the room and get a good nights sleep. Hopefully some respite (and sleep) is on the way.
tk tka tk tka tk technology
i was sitting on the train this morning with a lady who was about 75 - i was half asleep and listening to my ipod and she was reading a book - when we were approaching central i was packing up my ipod and looked over at this lady who was removing earphones and realised that our ipods were EXACTLY the same.
funny how technology can sometimes bridge generation gaps in a good way.
just thought i’d share
Getting Settled
Well it’s been a couple of weeks now, and life is starting to fit into a little bit of a pattern of sorts. Chan has settled into work, and I am getting used to working from home (although i did start this week on some work which takes me into an office in the city as well).
Jaxon is still a little strange around the house at times, but I think he is starting to feel more at home. Plus there’s all sorts of furniture to climb on around the place.
The house is starting to feel like home as we empty out the boxes. In fact we are almost entirely unpacked, there are only a few bits and pieces that remain to be emptied out.
I’m feeling the pace of Sydney life, and not loving it, but i’m sure it will only take a little while to get used to it again.
