Redecoration

On the weekend we made a few small steps to make our place feel more homely.

Our lounge is now full of photos from our time in new zealand - the cathedral, our favourite cafe, the tattoo place across the road from our house, twizel, lake hayes. Little parts of New Zealand throughout the room.

We still feel homesick for New Zealand, especially as the weather gets colder, but it’s nice to have memories of it with us.

On the weekend we picked up a new addition for the office. It already smells fresher and nicer. Plus it looks pretty.

Slurpee

This year was a little different to all the other birthdays i’ve had – this year i got a sister in law for a present.

What a special time celebrating with lucas and yvette their marriage. And even though i didn’t get to cut it – the cake on the day was pretty good if i do say so myself.

Afterwards, the Gillman family (minus the new ones, plus Lynda) went to play putt putt and i played a 40 off a par 36 course. I was wildly impressed with my effort, and celebrated at Max Brenner on the way home with Jordan and his folks.

My other birthday treat was to have my side of the family over on Monday to eat a roast and watch wrestling – we celebrated the 25th year of Wrestlemania together and despite no one else being even half as interested in it as i was – everyone watched till the end.

Other weekend fun included driving 3 days in a row to a part of Sydney i’ve never been before, good Friday fish market bedlam, hearing from old and new friends – and being with my wonderful husband.

Next year i’ll have to organise a big one… but what to do…
