As you can see from the post to the right, it’s been a bit of a sad week in the Gillman household. It’s now been 5 days since we’ve seen Jaxon. 

Given that he almost never stays out even overnight, that’s a real worry. We are in contact with vets, pet shops and the RSPCA and have letterboxed the local streets. 

We’re Still holding out some hope, but it’s quite exhausting in some ways, being alert for every sound, and only half sleeping in the hope he might just reappear. 

In the meantime we have dusted off my old fish tank, and would like to welcome buster, Lucille, and the four kiddy fish.

heres a general post about nothing in particular

its 6 weeks till we go back to chch - we’ve got some things planned already and others we’ll just have to wait and see - we are looking fwd to seeing friends and catching up with some of the good food and coffee we miss.

im listening to my ipod after catching the train into work with jord - and realising im the luckiest woman on earth to be married to the man that i am

i have my harry potter and the half blood prince movie ticket as a bookmark in the novel that i am reading - ‘Fight Club’ which i found pretty amusing.…

ive been in my job for 6 months and 1 week

i have an almost 1 year old nephew who changes every day

i have 2 cakes to do in the next couple of months and im equally excited about both of them and the events they stand for

i love to play my bass but i dont do it nearly often enough

im going to be 30 in the next year.….

im glad that  its friday cos i get to share lunch with some new friends that i’ve made.

i love the fact that we have masterclass cooking for lunch on mondays at work - it makes that first day of the week easier to bear

i changed a brake light the other day

im glad no one else can hear my ipod…

Its only 9 weeks until we make the much anticipated trip back to Christchurch for our first visit after moving home in January.
It will also be our first holiday (including days off) since moving back in January.
And we (I) can’t wait.
I’ve been getting homesick for the life I grew to love and the things that made it home.

 
My wonderful husband (a few weeks ago) brought me home an amazing gift. After hearing from a cousin that there was a shop purely dedicated to selling all things NZ, he went and bought a gorgeous array of special things.
From the usual sweets and biscuits, to the chips we used to eat watching the wrestling, to sauces, meal bases, and boxes of risotto. He bought L&P, our favourite drink and a bunch of other things to tide me over till we get back there to shop some more.
We’ve been excited to learn that some of our friends are hoping to come over for a holiday later in the year, and another has considered moving to Oz although i’m not holding my breath.
Its funny how some things can change so much and some can stay completely the same.
It hasn’t been an easy 6 months since we came home, it will be interesting to see what the next 6 will hold.

for 2 reasons i have no words
1 is that i lost my voice yesterday and 2 is that i just spent and AMAZING night out with my husband and my bridesman at Acer arena.
i got to see the WWE superstars i have come to know and love over the past few years and cheer on the favourites to victory in a tag team match that ended with John Cena and HHH winning very sucessfully against the big show and randy orton.
im exhausted, excited and just so happy to be alive.
