I am Job (finally)

chan | 19/6/075 Comments

I am employed!!! While temping I interviewed for a full time position somewhere else last friday. I was offered said job at 5pm today. It is a lot closer to home with a much nicer salary and shorter hours than the temp work I have been doing. I will be starting on monday with Eliot Sinclair and am looking forward to all aspects of the job.

Another added bonus is that I will be only a few blocks away from where Sarah works, so hopefully we will actually get to see each other.

In celebration my lovely husband took me out for dinner at a place called Piranha. I had chosen this restaurant shortly after we arrived to be my “once I get a job” place to go for dinner. We even managed to be done in time for bible study.

We are both very excited and the place I have been temping are very sad to see me go, but wish me well.

We headed out for a leisurely breakfast this morning after having slept in. C1 Espresso had a lot good things said about it on the net, so we thought we would check it out, and we were very impressed. Keep reading…

Restaurant: Tulsi

We have decided to add an extra category for quick little review of places we eat as we try and get to know a few places around the city.

We were on our way home from church this morning, planning on sandwiches for lunch when we drove past an Indian place called Tulsi. We had spotted this place a couple of times, mostly due to it’s boast of “Lunch From $6 including Rice and Naan, so we decided to stop.

As expected, it was a little more than $6 if you wanted something other than a vegetarian dish, but the prices were low nonetheless. We had a Lamb Korma and a Lamb Badan Pasala both of which were fantastic, and had a little bit of bite without being too hot. The portions were perfect, just large enough (including a shared bowl of rice) to be filling without gorging ourselves, and the naan was delicious.

The service was speedy and friendly, and they seem to cater for everything from large groups through to single diners, there were even a few families with young children there. A short, delicious lunch for under $20 for the two of us. And we have marked it out to visit again.
